There are no strict requirements to request admission. We recommend visiting one of our locations to tour the facilities and assess the needs of the older adult. During this process, we guide the family regarding the level of care required, availability, and the general conditions of the service.
We accept independent, semi-dependent, or dependent older adults, as well as individuals with cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, frailty, mobility limitations, or the need for daily supervision and assistance.
No. Our service is designed for long-term residents. We only accept individuals for stays longer than one month.

The Dr. Güílamo Geriatric Center has a team of doctors led by Dr. Bolívar D. Güílamo Hirujo, who is in charge of medical direction, is a Geriatrician – Internist and with more than 30 years of experience, offers us his support in constant supervision of all home activities. We also have a General Physician who is with us during working hours and we are supported by Promed’s Medical Emergency services, which assist us 24 hours a day, thus guaranteeing health protection at all times.
Yes. Our staff provides daily assistance, support with personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, medication administration, and continuous supervision of residents.
Visits are allowed every day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., without the need for a prior appointment.
Yes. Residents may leave the facility for outings, family activities, medical appointments, or other needs, always with the proper coordination and authorization from their responsible family members or guardians.
No. Residents are not required to remain at the facility if the family decides to take them out. The resident may be discharged whenever the responsible family member or guardian considers it appropriate, taking into account the conditions established in the service agreement.
Our service is designed for long-term residents, for stays longer than one month. We are not a regular day care center, except in special cases that are previously evaluated and subject to availability.
Yes. We have live cameras in selected common areas. In addition, authorized family members or legal guardians of admitted residents may have access to a private application with additional cameras, always respecting the privacy, safety, and dignity of our residents.

Yes. Many of our residents have family members living in the United States, Puerto Rico, or other countries. We maintain communication with families and provide support for follow-up, service coordination, and peace of mind throughout the resident’s stay.
Yes. We provide support in coordinating the resident’s services and logistical needs, including medical appointments, transportation, additional services, and other special requirements, with the goal of easing the burden on family members.
